In this week’s newsletter:

As we have received numerous queries in regards to the eligibility requirements for the Consolation races, we would therefore like to clarify the following: (1) all horses must have paid supplementary fees, (2) a minimum of 1 race win for 2 year olds and 2 wins for 3-7 year olds. (3) horses must have run in at least one qualifier during the course of the current season (Aug-Nov).

The Consolation Handicaps run on the same day as all Championship finals for horses that missed the top 14. For a nomination fee of $30.00, each consolation handicap will have a sponsorship of $500 in bonus credits. Instances will receive the same sponsorship in proportionate stakes. Note that owners must nominate their eligible horses for this event as they will not automatically be entered. These races will be programmed on the day that the Final fields are declared.

.:: Monthly Awards and 500 Runs ::.

Congrats to all who won awards during the month of August, the first month of a challenging new season of racing!

.:: Auctioning ::.

Auctioning will be launched before the end of September 2004. You will be able to place a horse in an auction at a reserve price and horses will be sold to the highest bidders. Look out for more information on how this will work over the next few days.

.:: Group 2's And Lower Tier Horse Categories ::.

We are adding more group 2 races to the calendar each week. From the week of 13 September, there will be group 2 races programmed for Monday. So now you will be able to enter in Group 2 races on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Low nomination claimers have also been programmed starting next week.
